There's a part in this interview where this man takes a moment to talk about how one moment and a kind word can change a life, and he's right. He's absolutely right about how human beings have a tendency to get wrapped up in our own minds and misjudge our situations, and that's why we all need a community to give us perspectives from outside our own heads. I've had moments in my own life where kind words from a random person, both people I've known and people I didn't, made all the difference in the universe, even if they themselves didn't know what they had done for me or if I failed to tell them what it truly meant. It's something that's happened many times, and each time it happens I'm still surprised, and it's still just as valuable. I hope I've been able return the favor and do that for someone else, even if I never know it.
