What spoke to me most in this piece was the importance of community. This human had to become independent super young, but isn't bitter about her circumstances. Because her community showed up to support her when she was struggling, now she works hard to be present for her community in return.

Also sucks that humans are still getting passed over for jobs because of factors such as sex/gender/etc. instead of being considered for ability or merit. Good on her for calling it out.
