I really appreciated this gentleman's viewpoint. First, I connected to his story of seeing God in humanity, among the struggles of "bad choices", and striving to improve, rather than just what we see in church, per se. Secondly, I've long been sensitive and aware of the circumstances and opportunities or lack thereof, which cause such economic and social disparity in our nation. This gentleman's comments toward the end about more equal access to resources, basic, needs such as healthcare, water and food really struck a chord with me. As someone who works in healthcare, I see that inequality of access way too frequently, and am disturbed by the number of homeless out on the street, which could so easily be me.
This is a great country, but we have so much improving and equalizing work to do.
Thank you!
